About the book:

How to Be a Hepburn in a Hilton World by Jordan Christy The Art of Living with Style, Class, and Grace.

This smart and sassy guide shows young women how to find their own glamorous style, professional success, and love with class and grace.

In a society driven by celebutante news and myspace.com profiles, women of class, style, and charm are hard to come by. But as thongs, rehab, and outrageous behavior burn up the daily headlines, employers still like to see a tailored suit, men still want women they can take home to their moms, and peers still respect professional conduct.

Christy helps women channel their inner Kate or Audrey, dusting off old-fashioned virtues and giving them a whole new spin in today’s sexed-up culture.

She shows how modern women can be beautiful, intelligent, and have it all — glamorous style, professional success, and true love and keep their values and morals intact along the way.

Thoughts:

Let's face it, in a world of short skirts, belly rings, g-strings and low-as-you-go jeans, there seems to be a lack of classic and classy role models for young women to look up to! Now, this is just my opinion, but when was the last time you saw Ms. Spears in a strand of pearls? A (very) little black dress...yes, the fore mentioned? A resounding "NO"!! Well not any more, thanks to author Jordan Christy. who passes along many positive qualities that should be instilled in today's young women!

When I first saw this book, I couldn't resist it. The cover and title alone will draw you in! Being the girlie girl that I am and Loving Classy Iconic women like Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, and Jackie O., there was simply no way I could pass on this self-help book like no other!

While it's aimed at a YA audience, it easily will appeal to women of all ages. The writing style is fun and free which makes it an easy read from cover to cover. I read it all in one sitting. Some of my favorite chapters included "Keep your Chin Up and Your Skirt Down" (which speaks in volumes itself)and "Let Him Come Calling" - a guide to dating of sorts. It reminded me of "The Rules" but for a new, younger generation.

This book basically takes a fluffy read and makes it into a serious lesson. Young women should be self-confident, strong and most of all to respectful of themselves. The last above all else. The resounding message that goes on throughout this book is as timeless, classy and unforgettable as Audrey herself. I couldn't put this book down.
